Dr. James “Billy” Wright

As a 3rd generation Doctor of Chiropractic, I grew up understanding the benefits of conservative health management. Not only do I see these benefits daily in practice and in my patients lives but in my life as well.

I was raised in Austin and attended Baylor University where I obtained a degree in pre-med biology. I received my doctorate from Texas Chiropractic College as the salutatorian of my graduating class in 1993. Several weekends each year are spent traveling and attending educational conferences. Weekday nights and weekends are often taken with medical webinars and other collaboration with docs around the country. I have participated in patient and professional podcasts as the featured guest.

My 33+ years of practice has been a joy while walking alongside my patients in their healthcare journeys. In addition to being a non surgical spine specialist, our clinics excel in the treatment of non-surgical Laser Disc Decompression, most orthopedic conditions, and management of neuropathy pain syndromes.

I am married with two sons and two grandchildren. My greatest privilege is partnering with my son, Dr Tyler Wright. We collaborate daily on cases and are in the process of co-authoring a book together about our Conservative Care methods and practice history. He is our fourth generation doctor in the family business.

Outside of the clinics I enjoy having an active role as a deacon at Austin Baptist Church, spending time outdoors, and following collegiate athletics.

Dr. Tyler W. Wright

Dr. Tyler W. Wright, D.C. is a fourth-generation chiropractor with a passion for helping individuals and families achieve lasting health through evidence-based, holistic care. With more than five years of clinical experience, Dr. Wright is dedicated to providing modern chiropractic treatment rooted in proven techniques and personalized patient care.

Dr. Wright earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Humanities from Baylor University before pursuing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He specializes in diversified chiropractic techniques, Merrick Toggle Recoil technique, and active release soft tissue therapy, allowing him to tailor treatment plans to each patient’s unique needs. He also has extensive experience utilizing Class IV Regenerative Medical Laser Therapy to help address a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and promote healing and recovery.

One of Dr. Wright’s greatest passions is serving patients across every stage of life. From infants and children to teenagers, adults, and seniors, he believes everyone deserves access to high-quality care. His experience also spans a broad range of lifestyles and activity levels — from individuals with sedentary jobs and chronic tension to elite athletes seeking peak performance and recovery.

Dr. Wright’s philosophy centers on delivering evidence-based chiropractic care backed by the most effective and well-researched techniques available today. He believes in empowering patients through education, preventative care, and natural approaches that support long-term wellness and quality of life.

Outside the office, Dr. Wright enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter as they prepare to welcome their son. He loves being outdoors whenever possible and is an avid supporter of Baylor football and basketball. His warm, approachable personality and commitment to genuine patient relationships help create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, valued, and confident in their care.

Chiropractor

Robert “Bob” Wright

Dr. Bob Wright joined his dad's practice in 1950 after serving his country during WWII. Dr. Bob was a Corsair fighter pilot in the United States Marine Corps. After graduating from the University of Texas he attended Texas Chiropractic College where he received both his doctorate of chiropractic and his philosopher of chiropractic degrees. He practiced at the office on 12th street from 1950 until his retirement in 2021.

Dr. Bob recently passed away peacefully on December 28th, 2022 surrounded by his family. His presence at the office will be missed, but his lasting impact will continue onward!

J. Stanley Wright

Dr. J. Stanley Wright (1892-1987) founded Wright Family Chiropractic in Austin in 1920. Originally a dentist, he had heard about chiropractic through medical doctor friends and made the decision to attend the Palmer School of Chiropractic. He was educated by Dr. B.J. Palmer, one of the founders of the profession. Dr. J. Stanley cared for Austinites for 65 years building a thriving practice in downtown Austin.

Norma is our Cedar Park location staff member who performs administrative support services. Her favorite role is engaging with our patients and sharing the benefits of our holistic approach to wellness. Marilyn is one of two people in the office who greets our patients, schedules visits, and performs other various administrative functions. Marilyn is a native of Austin and has been a patient of Wright Family Chiropractic for many years.

Exceptional people doing exceptional work. I have had several injuries over the years treated with Class IV Laser therapy by the Drs. Wright and my recovery time has been incredible.
